The Basic was the tank the player spawned as in Arras.io. It could upgrade to the Twin, Sniper, Machine Gun, Flank Guard, Director, Pounder, Trapper, Desmos, Single or Smasher.

In Siege and other single-team gamemodes, the Basic could also upgrade to the Healer, but could not upgrade to the Smasher.

In Arms Race, the Basic could also upgrade to the Single, but could not upgrade to the Desmos.

Design

The Basic featured a circular base with a Cannon mounted at the front. This circular base served as the base for almost every tank in the game. The Basic’s color and the color of its ammunition were decided by which team it belongs to in team modes, or whether the tank was yours in FFA modes. The color rules applied to all tanks. It possessed one Cannon which shot one Bullet at a time in a straight path, with slight recoil. The cannon had average reload, and in this wiki serves as the base for comparisons between fire rates.

A normal Basic is measured 4 grid units, 6 grid units if including the barrel.

Unpatched Bugs

The bullet speed makes the bullets space farther apart, and so it doesn't look like it's shooting faster than Streamliner.

  • In Sandbox, a glitch allows the Basic to fire faster than a Streamliner. By turning on auto fire and holding down ` + Q with operator status, the game keeps reverting you back to Basic while keeping auto fire on, and making Basic shoot first, regardless of whether its reload time has passed or not.
