- Not to be confused with the Booster, which is the tank it is based off.
The Undercover Cop is a special tank in the Sandbox gamemode of Arras.io. It can be accessed in non-Sandbox gamemodes by developers and beta testers.
Design
The Undercover Cop features a Booster with two squares and two hexagons on top. The squares are placed next to each other in the middle, while the hexagons are on either side of the squares. They will all flash blue, gray, and red like police lights.
Technical
The Undercover Cop is only usable in Sandbox if the player has operator access, which is automatically granted if they started a new Sandbox game of their, or if given by another player having operator access. When having one, the tank can be used by holding ` and pressing P.
This tank is second fastest in game: third: Booster, second: Undercover Cop, fastest tank is: Specator.
The Undercover Cop has maximized stats, resulting in the following properties:
- Very fast movement speed.
- Nearly infinite health. (1 trillion).
- Insanely high (can ram an eternal to death in seconds) body damage stats.
- Extremely high bullet stats including damage.[2]
The Undercover Cop also has a stupidly high FoV range, much, much, much, MUCH greater than the Vindicator’s, in fact it is so big, it is far bigger than the Mothership's too, and you cannot see any non-edge area of a 1024x1024 Sandbox map. The player’s name also automatically changes to “ARRAS POLICE”, although this doesn’t actually change their team without other Sandbox cheats. The player name cannot be changed back even when using another cheat to revert back as a Basic, and only death can change it back. A Notification message is also broadcasted: “WOOP WOOP! That’s the sound of da police!”. It also increases the size of the player significantly too.
Strategy
- Strong Against: Literally anything except the red wall, kill command, and multiple arena closers combined.
- Weak Against: Nothing. This tank has the same health as an arena closer, making it almost undefeatable.
As the Undercover Cop
- The Undercover Cop is essentially a heavily buffed Booster, having maximized upgrades on every stat, and can be further boosted with the stronger stats cheat. As such, the player can combine strategies of both rammer and bullet builds to their leisure. (This tank can now tank over 30 hits from an arena closer...)
- Despite its amazing stats, the Undercover Cop can still be beaten if the player isn’t careful. Trying to perform attacks, then retreating if the attacks failed or when low in health can be effective.
- The only true threats that the Undercover Cop may face are other Undercover Cops and tanks using stronger stats and/or invincibility cheats. For other Cops, the player should utilize both of their bullets and movement speed to slowly deplete their opponents’ health. Ramming them head-on should be rarely done unless the player can carefully maneuver to avoid the bullets while having higher health. Meanwhile, tanks with stronger stats may take different strategies depending on the actual classes, while it’s preferable to simply avoid any tank with invincibility.
Against the Undercover Cop
- If the Undercover Cop is an abuser, then all you can do is just die.
- It is unlikely for the average player to encounter an Undercover Cop outside of Sandbox. If one does appear in a non-Sandbox mode, it is most likely a Beta Tester.
- If you do not have operator access, try to team up with other tanks when having to take down an Undercover Cop. Despite its amazing stats, the tank itself doesn’t have enough capability to overpower a solid team of at least two tanks (This is no longer true).
Use high DPS tanks like the Triplet or Sprayer to weaken the Undercover Cop’s main bullets. Its back bullets aren’t powerful enough to counter the barrage.- Unless serving as a lookout, avoid using the Assassin branch or the Predator. Their FoV range is greatly shallowed by the Undercover Cop’s FoV. If you have operator access, the FoV problem can be mitigated by the zoom out cheat. (This no longer works).
- Avoid using ramming builds against the Undercover Cop. While the Smasher branch may overpower its body damage, the Undercover Cop’s main bullets still deal a lot of damage, being able to destroy a Spike or Mega-Smasher in only a few accurate shots; there is little chance of even reaching the Undercover Cop to ram it at all. The Undercover Cop can also outrun them, further making most of them an obsolete choice.
- The new undercover cop is near invincible.

Unpatched Bugs The bullet speed makes the bullets space farther apart, and so it doesn't look like it's shooting faster than Streamliner. (example with Basic, which is also affected)

Trivia
- The ARRAS POLICE's previous name was Undercover Cop.
- This class is now called "ARRAS POLICE".
- The ARRAS POLICE has been present in the game’s code even before Sandbox was released.
- This is the only tank that can change the player’s name when chosen.
- While the Mothership also changes the player’s name, it abandons control of the previous tank, rather than turning it into the Mothership. The name of the player is still active once respawned, and the player still sees their chosen name above the EXP and Level bars.
- The lights are considered turrets due to the delay of spinning, similar to that of Overdrive’s square and Healer’s red cross.
- Strangely, when using the stronger stats cheat, the ARRAS POLICE’s FoV range decreases, albeit still greater than the Ranger’s FoV range.
- Previously,
` + Chad to be pressed instead of` + Pto "upgrade" to the ARRAS POLICE. This was changed in an update when the previous key is now used for a new cheat. - When turning, the ARRAS POLICE somehow acts like a Labyrinth Dreadnought
- The ARRAS POLICE can die to a Deadly Wall 9 times. Without maxed stats, it would be 3 times.
- Arena Closers can kill the Police.

Footnotes
- ↑ This tank has existed in the code before Sandbox was released.
- ↑ This may not work out if the player upgraded into the Smasher or any of its upgrades except Auto-Smasher, as the upgrade table doesn’t change when becoming an Undercover Cop, preventing the player to upgrade their bullet stats aside from Reload. This can be fixed by using stronger stats cheat.
