The Triplet is one of the Tier 4 Tanks in Arras.io that upgrades from the Triple Shot at Level 45. It may not upgrade any further. The upgrade key for this tank is J.
Design
The Triplet possesses one group of three cannons at its front: all three cannons are aligned directly at the front of the tank, and the outer two cannons are aligned like those of a Twin. The center cannon appears on top of the other two, and also appears longer.
Technical
The Triplet's three cannons alternate firing between center and outer cannons. The fire rate and accuracy of each cannon is about that of a Basic.
Strategy
- Strong Against: Rammers, tanks with spread fire like the Octo Tank, Trapper classes, some Drone classes, Sniper classes in close combat
- Weak Against: Multiple enemies or tanks that can attack from multiple angles, Destroyer classes, Sniper classes and other high FoV tanks far away, skilled Drone users.
As the Triplet
- The Triplet boasts a somewhat protected flank without sacrificing a channeled fire. The fact that it also has decent anti-bullet power and above average bullet size make the Triplet versatile in both offense and defence. Indeed, it is well-rounded and intuitive for even beginners to play.
- Player should refrain from excessive dodging. The Triplet's wide stream of bullets usually provide enough of a cover for the tank. Dodging on top of that (and to the wrong side of the stream) often results in nothing more than revealing oneself from their own protection. Such is especially true when fighting against tanks with spread fire such as the Octo Tank and the Mortar.
- The tank's recoil is mediocre, but with its good DPS and knock-back, rammers should not pose a significant threat to a wary player.
- While fighting tanks with higher Bullet Penetration such as the Single or the Dual, beware not to get very close. The Triplet's shots are great against most bullets but not that deadly against tanks. At very close range the bullets are going to hit the tanks without much collision with one another, and thus the Triplet may well be disadvantageous.
- Against the Underseer branch, aim and destroy Drones first and try to predict where they are going next. Then shoot at the direction of the predicted path. This will trap the enemy, if the prediction is correct, allowing for an easy kill.
- One of the best builds for this tank would be 2/3/7/7/7/6/7/2/1/0 which gives you great bullet power and reasonable health.
Against the Triplet
- The Triplet is more defensive and less offensive than, for example, the Single. It is much more defensive than streamliner. Its moderate bullet speed and high knock-back means that it does not kill easily, much less easily a withdrawing tank.
- The Triplet is great at holding against but not as great at killing a tank with comparable firepower. Therefore, when attacked from two directions the Triplet will have difficulty killing either one to escape. Tanks that can attack from different direction at once, such as the Swarmer or the Surfer, may exploit the same weakness if they can dodge the Triplet's bullets.
- On the other hand, when pinched by the Triplet and another tank, it is generally unwise to attempt to kill the Triplet to escape.
- As a Destroyer branch, killing a Triplet can be difficult as it maintains its distance. Concentrate on neutralizing its bullets before it is cornered. And as usual, the best option is to be sneaky; hide and try to shoot the enemy from behind. If this fails, retreat and try again. The player can also lead the Triplet to their base or near allies.
- As a Sniper branch tank, if one manage to score one or two hits on the Triplet before being seen, the Triplet is likely to be forced to retreat. Otherwise, it may advance behind its wall of bullets. If one heedlessly attempts to land lucky shots by firing repeatingly, they may find themselves easily located and pinned down by an experienced Triplet player and get killed. Bide the time until the Triplet relaxes becoming convinced that its aggressor has left and one may snipe again. To finish a Triplet, high bullet speed is also helpful.
- Despite a slightly weaker base firepower, the Auto-Double can sometimes outmatch the Triplet. By strafing and attacking around the Triplet's bullets, the Triplet is sometimes forced to dodge and adjust its aim. An unskilled Triplet may be unable to handle the independently aiming auto-turret in addition to aiming and dodging, and hence being killed. However, triplet also has higher DPS.
